Things to Do in Morrisville, NC
Restaurants
Morrisville is packed with great, diverse places to eat. Hyderabad House has delicious, authentic Indian food, and Carmen’s Cuban Cafe and Lounge is the first restaurant in the Triangle to serve authentic Cuban cuisine. The city of Morrisville is also home to Mi Cancun, a Mexican restaurant with food cooked to order and lots of daily specials.
Arts and Attractions
For some indoor activity, check out the Triangle Rock Club or Open Arts. At the Rock Club, you can rock climb no matter what your level, or you can participate in Yoga, Pilates, and other fitness classes. Open Arts is the perfect dance studio for the kids; they are dedicated to bringing arts to the community in an inclusive and judgement-free environment.
Unique to the city of Morrisville is the observation park at the Raleigh-Durham airport. The kids will love seeing the planes land and take off, plus, they can also listen to the pilot-tower communications. Bring a picnic, spread out on the lawn, and spend the afternoon watching planes soar right over your head.

[If you enjoy being active, you’ll love what’s available in Morrisville. Church Street Park and Morrisville Community Park are both great places to spend the day with the family. The kids can run around the playgrounds and athletic fields or you can all walk together on the greenways and walking trails. Or, check out the Orchid Trail Greenhouses for a private tour of the 20,000 different species of orchids. When you get hungry, you can take a break under one of the picnic shelters to eat lunch together.

Some of our favorite Morrisville parks include Shiloh Community Park & Luther Green Community Center, Crabtree Creek Nature Park, Ruritan Park, and the Indian Creek Greenway. Neighboring Lake Crabtree County Park and Umstead State Park provide even more opportunities for outdoor exploration, and Jordan Lake is just a skip, hop, and a jump away.

If you like to shop, there are plenty of places to visit in Morrisville. A great local shop, Ivy Cottage Collections, has gifts and home decor, and can meet all of your interior design needs.
