MoonRunners Saloon

Garner has lots of tasty dining options that are beloved by the community. If you’re looking to start your day off with a home-cooked breakfast, you should check out Angie’s. By opening her restaurant in the same space that housed a local restaurant for over 50 years, Angie is continuing the tradition of a friendly, community-centered space for people to see smiling faces while they enjoy their meal. You won’t be disappointed at Angie’s!

For a tasty, fresh dinner, check out Alexander’s Mediterranean Cuisine. They serve traditional Greek food made with fresh ingredients and have specialties like lamb shank. Their extensive wine selection also means you’ll be able to find the perfect glass of wine to pair with your meal. You’re sure to leave Alexander’s feeling full and happy with your experience.

For traditional American fare or an after-dinner drink, MoonRunners Saloon is a fun, unique place to visit. This restaurant appeared on Spike’s Bar Rescue in 2013 and got a major makeover. MoonRunners is now has a Prohibition-era theme and serves great drinks and food. They even have a popular food truck that serves up some of their best dishes all over the triangle area! Not only will you love the food and service, but your experience and Moonrunners will be one to remember.

Garner has plenty of shopping options to meet your needs. First, you can start off your day at Full Bloom Coffee Roasters. You can pick up a fresh bag of ethically-sourced, quality coffee, or you can come to get a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. Either way, Full Bloom can meet all of your coffee needs.

White Deer Park

Garner also has tons of great outdoor spaces for a day under the sun. Lake Benson Park is a popular place with tons of amenities. There is a lake for fishing, boat rentals, a dog park, picnic shelters, playgrounds, and trails. This park also holds many of the town’s community events like Friday Family Flicks and the Spring Eggstravaganza. This park is a great place to take your family for some outdoor fun!

South Garner Park is another great outdoor space. They have baseball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, and a playground. This park is a great place for the whole family to be active on a sunny summer day, whether you’re playing a game of baseball or swinging on the swings.

If you want to spend time outside and learn about your surroundings, White Deer Park is the perfect place to go. They have a 2,500 square foot nature education center so you can learn about the wildlife in your area and across the state. After you’ve had your fill of learning, you can head outside to explore the arboretum, wildflower meadow, and the playgrounds. This beautiful park is great for a relaxing day outside.


Garner Performing Arts Center

Garner has made efforts to have a focus on arts in the community. As a result, they now have the Garner Performing Arts Center. You can sign the kids up for various theater camps or you can check out the rotating art gallery that features works from local artists. No matter what you prefer, you’re sure to enjoy what the community has to offer at the Garner Performing Arts Center.

Garner is also home to the Towne Players, a community theater group. The group formed in 1988 and have been performing ever since. They usually have three or four productions every year, and even offer a summer camp for kids who are interested in the performing arts. These productions are a great way to see the best of what your community has to offer.

Rush Hour Karting

For a unique night out, check out Conundrum Escapes. Once you head in, you have an hour to find the solution to escape your room. Whether you’re going for a date night, team building, or some other occasion, these escape rooms are sure to make your night fun and memorable.

For an action-packed adventure, Rush Hour Karting is sure to give you the adrenaline rush you’re looking for. This all-indoor facility has extensive tracks with tons of twists and turns, plus karts that can go almost 40mph! After you’re done racing with your friends or family, you can head up to the Pizza Pit Sports Tavern that overlooks the track for a drink and a bite to eat. If you’re still looking for more to do, you can even try their newest feature, axe throwing. You can challenge your friends to see who can land their axe the most on-target. Overall, you’re guaranteed to have a great time at Rush Hour Karting.
