Restaurants

Downton Apex offers a ton of great restaurants to try out! If you want a warm bowl of pasta, Daniel’s Restaurant and Catering is the spot for you. For local, farm-to-table fare, The Provincial is the perfect place to check out. If you want a laid-back atmosphere, head to Doherty’s Irish Pub for live music and daily specials or to Salem Street Pub for a delicious burger, local beer, and Midnight Moon Moonshine. Arts and Attractions

In addition to having a large shopping center as well as plenty of unique restaurants and entertainment venues, Apex is also home to a number of festivals and events throughout the year.

• In May, the entire town celebrates Peakfest, which features concessions, arts and crafts, live music, rides, and more!
• Every summer, Apex hosts the annual Latino Arts Festival. They offer free music, an art exhibit, games, dance performances, and signature dishes that are South and Central American staples.
• Each November, the Turkey Trot 5K draws residents from all over the region.  During this annual race at Apex Community Park, plenty of residents show up to compete for a number of awards.
• Plus, the Halle Cultural Arts Center features art exhibits and theater performances all the time in Apex!

If you’re interested in learning more about the history of Apex, you can visit the North Carolina Railway Museum. They offer a history of the railway in North Carolina and Apex’s development as a railway town, and they even have a running train to ride on.  It’s easy to enjoy all of the educational and entertaining attractions the Apex, NC Historic District has to offer

Shopping

Apex has a great variety of local small businesses and is close to shopping centers, as well. Along Main Street in downtown Apex, you’ll find The Rusty Bucket, which is a great place to look for furnishings for your home. They create custom furniture like tables, and most of their products are cozy, country style to warm up your home. Next, you can head over to Moon & Lola for nationally acclaimed jewelry. Featured in Cosmopolitan, InStyle, and O Magazine, you’re sure to love these personal pieces. If you want a more interactive shopping experience, you can buy yarn at Downtown Knits and then take a class to learn how to knit it into a scarf or some socks! They also offer classes for punch needling, sewing, crochet, and more.
